"The Way Home"... Because Everyone Deserves a Home
The Way Home is developing 85/87 Laurel Street Manchester, NH as the newest site for its Your Way Home program. Laurel Keys will add housing for 5 homeless veterans to 9 existing units leased housing for chronically homeless individuals. The Way Home program was created with the help of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Homeless Continuum of Care funding.
Veterans represent a growing portion of the homeless, and permanent supportive housing has been recognized as a critical need for the veteran community. The Way Home focuses on building relationship of trust and mutal respect. This program also includes work with a Steps To Success coach who encourages and challenges the participant to make positice changes one step at a time. The stability of having a place call "Home" is the first step.
